From Notes
It would be good if this page included some instructions for updating to Python 3.0 if the reader already has an earlier version of Python.

I'm writing this note in a box that is about 1 inch wide, 2" long and it's completely on top of the page underneath it. I've been trying to download a version for windows XP for the last hour. I downloaded the 2.6 version first, then found, on another page an upgrade to version 3. Then after downloading it too, I saw a refernce fo somebody who mentioned XP, and the file size was 12.8 mb. So I downloaded again the other version 3 windows file. Now with there being not a word of explanation as to what Gzipped, Bzipped, or even the windows different versions, I haven't a clue as to which one to really download. Maybe a rod of explanation would be appropriate, unless eveybody here is a web mind reading guru. Maybe you could give a clue as to what one to use with winXP. Thanks, Rick | |
